Taylor Alison Swift lahir pada tanggal 13 Desember 1989. Ya ampun!!! Cuman beda 2 tahun sama gw!! Cewek yang satu ini memang multi-talented abiss! Terbukti dengan kariernya sebagai penyanyi, penulis lagu, gitaris, dan aktor. Ia terkenal sebagai country pop singer-songwriter.
Pada tahun 2006, Swift mengeluarkan single pertamanya: "Tim McGraw". Single ini dirilis di radio pada pertengahan 2006. Single ini berhasil mencapai posisi ke-6 versi Billboard's Hot Country Songs, loh!! Swift bilang, "I wrote the song in my freshman year of high school. I was dating a guy who was about to go off to college. I knew we were going to break up so I started thinking of all the things that I knew would remind him of me. Surprisingly, the first thing that came to mind was that my favorite country artist is Tim McGraw." Aw…, aw…, aw…., jadi sirik sama artis yang satu ini! Albumnya yang dinamai Taylor Swift dirilis pada tanggal 24 oktober 2006 dan berhasil terjual 39.000 kopi pada minggu pertama...!!! Single kedua dari album Taylor Swift adalah “Teardrops on My Guitar”, dirilis pada tanggal 24 February 2007.
Album terakhir Swift, Fearless dirilis pada tanggal 11 November 2008. Singlenya yang berjudul “Love Story” menjadi hits di chart musik pop maupun country. Di minggu ke-8 setelah dirilis, Fearless telah mendapatkan keuntungan dari 338,467 download. Waaahh! Amazing banget,
Nah, kabar yang paling baru nih, udah tau belum Taylor Swift meraih penghargaan Best Female Video untuk "You Belong With Me" di ajang 2009 MTV Video Music Awards?? Nah, kalau belum tahu, ada sebuah 'insiden' pada saat Taylor Swift mendapatkan penghargaan itu. Begini ceritanya... Rapper yang sudah tidak asing lagi, Kanye West, tiba-tiba naik ke atas panggung dan merebut mic dari Swift yang belum selesai mengucapkan ungkapan terima kasihnya, seraya berkata kalau yang berhak menerima penghargaan itu adalah Beyonce untuk video "Single Ladies". Baik Swift maupun Beyonce sama-sama terkejutnya atas ulah Kanye West! Ckckckc, perbuatan yang engga patut dicontoh nih! Hahahaha... Beyonce ternyata mendapat penghargaan juga sebagai Best Video of The Year untuk "Single Ladies". Beyonce akhirnya meminta Swift untuk naik ke atas panggung untuk menyelsaikan ucapannya yang tadi sempat dipotong oleh Kanye West. Wah, oke banget yah Beyonce...
Kanye West yang dikritik oleh banyak artis dan juga Presiden Barrack Obama ini akhirnya meminta maaf kepada Swift lewat blognya. Ia juga tampil dalam The Jay Leno Show sehari setelah insiden itu untuk meminta maaf. Namun, Kanye West belum pernah meminta maaf langsung kepada Swift semenjak insiden itu. Hmm, seakan-akan engga tulus nih minta maafnya! Hahaha.
Pada tanggal 15 September 2009, Swift diawancarai mengenai insiden tersebut di acara The View. Swift bilang, "Well, I think my overall thought process was something like, 'Wow, I can't believe I won, this is awesome, don't trip and fall, I'm gonna get to thank the fans, this is so cool'", kemudian Swift berpikir, "'Oh, Kanye West is here. Cool haircut. What are you doing there?' lalu, 'Ouch.' kemudian, 'I guess I'm not gonna get to thank the fans.'" Setelah wawancara di The View, Kanye West secara personal meminta maaf kepada Swift dan dimaafkan. Wahh, ternyata bukan hanya wajahnya saja yang cantik, hatinya juga cantik!!! Go Taylor Swift!!!
